Career Preparation and Readiness
LOOKING FOR A JOB? Are you stuck?
In this economy, the number of people competing for jobs is astronomically high. Are you looking at improving your current situation? Have you been unemployed and find it frustrating to even get your “foot in the door” for an interview?
Our Career Preparation and Readiness workshops are designed to work with you. We will help you develop a marketable cover letter, resume, and application materials. Our workshops focus on helping you to develop that critical confidence that show future employers you are the person they have been looking to hire.
RESUME/APPLICATION PREPARATION
The idea behind a resume is it outlines and
depicts your accomplishments. It shows your responsibilities by outlining your occupational experience, academic achievements, volunteer work, and extracurricular experiences.
The information your resume provides is critical to achieving your next job. The key to success is communicating your information to make it direct, concise, and informative.
Your resume and cover letter is your first opportunity to make that important first impression to a potential employer. As they say, “you never get a second chance to make a first impression”.
Our services will provide you the skills to develop these two important documents so future employers know the asset you can be for their organization. Our services will also help you interpret and complete official
application materials potential employers require.
DEVELOPING INTERVIEWING SKILLS AND CONFIDENCE
Are interviews scary for you? Are you lost on what to say when an interviewer asks you questions?
Once you get your “foot in the door” you will need to show your confidence and knowledge to be a true asset to your future employer.
Interviewing is a skill like anything else. With enough practice those scary moments with a potential employer will seem less intimidating and you will shine!
Our services will provide you the tools and skills needed to “show off” your potential in a professional manner that will not only impress future employers but help build confidence in you as well. Our services will help you to not only sell products and services for future employers but also know how to “sell” that most important aspect in an interview process… yourself. If you do not market yourself, no one else will.
