Volunteer Parent Aides
Volunteers are recruited, screened, trained and supervised by
a staff of professional social workers. Volunteer Parent Aides
are assigned to families at risk to offer support, education,
guidance, a positive role model and advocacy. Under
the supervision of a social worker or case supervisor, a parent
aide is expected to work with a family from 4-6 hours a week for
at least four months. Parent Aides are also required to attend
monthly staff /volunteer meetings and in-service trainings.

Supervised Visitation
Monitors
KIDSAFE CT is taking applications for per diem supervised visitation
monitors.
Under the direction of the Visitation
Coordinator,
the Supervised Visitation Monitor provides supervision of visits
for children and their non-custodial family members.
Responsibilities:
1) Provide transportation for the children to and from their
foster homes to the visitation site.
2) Provide supervised visitation services to families with parent
education as required by DCF or Court.
3) Document each visit on required reporting forms as directed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Service field is required.
One to two years experience working with troubled families or
Master’s Degree preferred.
